"Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine" Proverbs 3:9-10
How do we build physical wealth? Well we work, earn an income, save etc. Spiritual wealth or the wealth we build up in Heaven is based on the same principal.
"Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Luke 12:33-34
Although material wealth is desirable, we need to try our best to focus on the wealth which lasts forever.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal" Matthew 6:19
"Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!" James 5:3
